The initial support of Flood Hub covered India and Bangladesh, where flood-prone regions are prevalent. However, by the end of the year, the initiative expanded its coverage to include 20 countries in total. This expansion indicates the growing reach and effectiveness of Flood Hub in helping vulnerable regions worldwide combat the risks associated with flooding.

Initially prior to this, flood prediction methods offered a much shorter window of around 48 hours for people to take necessary precautions. By extending this window to a week, Flood Hub aimed to provide individuals, communities, and authorities with more time to respond and undertake proactive measures.
