Meta, the parent company of Instagram and Facebook, has introduced its verified program in India. Similar to Twitter, it offers a paid subscription model for a verified tick, along with additional features like improved account security and direct support.
In India, Meta Verified can be purchased for a monthly price of ₹699 on iOS and Android apps, covering verification for both Facebook and Instagram. Meta will be also introducing a web-only subscription plan at ₹599 per month soon.
To obtain Meta Verified in India and have a blue tick on your Facebook and Instagram accounts, ensure you have a government ID proof. Complete the verification process as guided. Once approved, you can enjoy the benefits of being a verified user, including the coveted blue tick.

Can everyone get verified on Instagram and Facebook?
As simple and direct as it may seem, not everyone can get verified as there are certain conditions. To be eligible for Meta Verified, you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Have a government-issued ID
Have an active Instagram or Facebook account
Public accounts and celebrities will need to meet specific account and eligibility requirements, and they will retain traditional badges. However, in the future, Meta plans to establish a uniform verification process for all users.
Currently, Meta Verified is accessible to users in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
